Concept note: Bali Process Civil Registration Assessment Toolkit

The RSO, in consultation with Bali Process members, is developing a toolkit that will allow interested States to evaluate and improve how they register births, deaths and marriages that occur on their territory among asylum seekers, refugees, persons of undetermined nationality and stateless persons, as part of the mainstream civil registration system.

The toolkit will contain an assessment methodology and relevant technical and policy guidance based on international standards, recommendations and case studies of good practice.

A technical advisory group of representative experts from Bali Process members will be formed to oversee the development of the toolkit, and a consultation workshop will be held before the toolkit is published in the second half of 2016.

Please download the concept note to find out more about the project.
