DESCRIPTION:The Regional Meeting on Countering People Smuggling and Related Transnational Crime\, held together with the Government of Malaysia which holds the role of ASEAN Chair for 2025 and Voluntary Lead Shepherd for People Smuggling\, will convene ASEAN Member States\, Bangladesh\, Sri Lanka\, Timor Leste and Australia. \nThe meeting will gather senior officials to discuss opportunities identified at a 2024 RSO Roundtable held following the Third Activation of the Bali Process Consultation Mechanism\, to drive forward progress on a strengthened shared regional approach\, ahead of the 2025/26 Sailing Season.
