DESCRIPTION:The Focus Group Discussion on Irregular Maritime Ventures and People Smuggling Futures aims to provide a platform for Bali Process Member States to examine and discuss case studies and modus operandi of the smuggling networks in South and Southeast Asia. It will examine how people smuggling ventures are organised\, financed\, coordinated\, and how they evolve across the region. Participants will also discuss emerging trends and identify practical cooperation priorities to strengthen targeted disruption and cross-border cooperation.

SUMMARY:Immigration Officials’ Conference: Strengthening Cooperation to Address Trafficking for Forced Criminality and Related Transnational Crime
DESCRIPTION:Co-organised by RSO and the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration (DGI)\, the three-day conference aims to develop shared understanding and strengthen operational responses to trafficking in persons linked to cyber-scam centres. It will bring together immigration authorities and other relevant law enforcement agencies from countries most affected by trafficking for forced criminality to provide a forum for information sharing\, strengthen networking across countries and regions\, and support discussion of longer-term immigration coordination in response to the cross-border movement of potential victims and perpetrators in the context of trafficking for forced criminality.
