Margarita joined the RSO in February 2025 as Programme Manager for Stakeholder Engagement and Events, managing strategic partnerships and leading the organisation of flagship events to advance regional cooperation on countering people smuggling and trafficking in persons. Margarita has a background in public policy, migration and rule of law. Prior to joining the RSO, Margarita worked as Immigration and Border Governance Project Officer at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok and earlier as Executive Assistant to the Director-General of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) in Rome.
