A framework for cross-border cooperation and information sharing
The RILON Initiative provides a framework for cross-border cooperation and information sharing, by bringing Member States together through the establishment of time-limited RILON Response Groups, convened to address priority challenges. Identification of focal points from relevant government agencies supports the bringing together of expert voices, regional on-the-ground knowledge and case management and decision-making capacity from the various different perspectives of law enforcement, border and immigration management, maritime agencies and other relevant departments.
