RSO training activities support Member States to build capability to effectively detect, investigate, prosecute and coordinate relevant cases, underpinned by a victim-centred and trauma-informed approach.

The RSO works with Bali Process Member States and regional partners to design and deliver operational capacity-building and training activities that strengthen the capabilities of practitioners working across law enforcement, border management, immigration and related fields. RSO training courses are developed in response to priorities identified by Bali Process Members and are underpinned by a victim-centred and gender-sensitive approach. Courses support participants to detect, investigate, prosecute and coordinate responses to people smuggling, trafficking in persons and related transnational crime, building both individual capability and broader institutional capacity across the region.
