Recommended film: “Born Into Brothels” (2004)
This poignant Oscar-winning documentary follows the children of sex workers in Kolkata, who retain their curiosity and joy despite the difficult circumstances they face. In light of cases involving women trafficked into sex work, the film beautifully balances the bleak reality of their surrounding environment with the hopeful possibilities of brighter futures.
