Technical Workshop: Building Capacity to Address Organised Crime Syndicates Use of Emerging Technologies and Social Media

In response to the growing challenges posed by the use of technology to facilitate trafficking in persons and people smuggling operations, the Regional Support Office of the Bali Process (RSO) is hosting a five-day technical workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. The workshop aims to equip law enforcement officers and criminal justice officials with open-source intelligence (OSINT) skills to proactively identify online recruiters, detect and report fraudulent job advertisements on social media platforms, and monitor evolving recruitment tactics used by criminal networks facilitating trafficking in persons and/or people smuggling.
