What is the RSO Alumni Camp?
The RSO Alumni Camp is a flagship event in the RSO calendar, bringing together a select cohort of RSO Alumni and supporting the development of practical and technical skills and facilitating the exchange of promising practices.
The 2025 RSO Alumni Camp will feature:
- Leadership development: equip yourself with essential soft skills including mentoring, managing with empathy, and effective communication to enhance your leadership presence and professional growth.
- Alumni networking: build community and strengthen connections with fellow alumni through dedicated spaces for peer-to-peer learning and collaboration across the Bali Process membership.
- Expert engagement: participate in the Fourth Border Forum, the RSO flagship capability development event, alongside regional experts and senior frontline officials, supporting networking, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving on-the-ground challenges through practical exercises and discussions.
- Recognition of excellence: nominate yourself to be acknowledged through the RSO Alumni Awards, celebrating alumni who have demonstrated innovation, impact, and collaboration through applying their RSO training and implementing new practices within their workplace.
- RSO alumni are invited to apply to attend the 2025 RSO Alumni Camp and RSO Border Forum through an online application form.
- 25 funded spaces are allocated for alumni to participate in both these flagship events.
- Submissions will be reviewed, assessing each applicant’s professional experience, interest in attending, and application of RSO training in the workplace.
As part of the application process, alumni may be nominated for the RSO Alumni Awards. Nominations should be supported by the applicant’s supervisor, who should provide a brief statement highlighting how the nominee has demonstrated initiative, applied RSO training in their workplace, shared promising practices, and fostered collaboration with national and international counterparts. Award recipient(s) will be selected based on demonstrated innovation, impact, and contribution to their workplace and the Alumni Network, and will be formally recognised during the 2025 RSO Alumni Camp.
