RSO Member State Spotlight: Indonesia 2025
The RSO convened government representatives, law enforcement officers, civil society partners, and regional stakeholders in Jakarta for a week-long series of activities through the RSO Member State Spotlight: Indonesia, highlighting Indonesia’s critical regional role as Co-Chair of the Bali Process and fostering dialogue across Bali Process Members and international counterparts.
RSO Member State Spotlight: Malaysia 2025
In Malaysia’s Chairmanship Year for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the RSO and the Government of Malaysia—which also holds the role of ASEAN Voluntary Lead Shepherd for People Smuggling—jointly convened a Regional Meeting on Countering People Smuggling and Related Transnational Crime. The RSO also brought together members of the diplomatic corps from Bali Process Member and Observer States, colleagues from international organisations, and regional partners for the RSO Members’ Engagement Function.
RSO Member State Spotlight: Indonesia 2024
Bringing together international counterparts in Jakarta for a week of events, the RSO 2024 Member State Spotlight Week in Indonesia supported the convergence of regional actors and a cross-pollination of knowledge and expertise across the Bali Process, RSO and partners. The week included a training workshop on Border Management by Air, a Technical Experts Meeting on Following the Money in Trafficking in Persons Cases, a Focus Group Discussion with Indonesian Government officials as part of the RSO’s Assessment and Gap Analysis of National Legal Frameworks on Trafficking in Persons and related Laws, and the RSO’s Members’ Engagement Function networking event.
