Additional Superintendent of Police Emran represents Bangladesh as the RSO Secondee to the Regional Information, Liaison and Outreach Network (RILON) Response Group, supporting enhanced regional information sharing to address people smuggling. In this role, he will work collaboratively with Member States to strengthen relationships, improve regional capability, and advance joint initiatives aimed at promoting effective and coordinated responses to shared border challenges.
As a Bangladeshi Government Police official, Emran brings more than 15 years of policing experience, specifically in the detection and prevention of crime, public order management, supervision of criminal case investigation, administration, operations, and immigration management. He has participated in United Nations Formed Police Unit Peacekeeping Missions twice in the Democratic Republic of Congo as Admin and Operations Officer, where he collaborated closely with other countries’ FPU units and international law enforcement partners to facilitate the local police and reinforce peace.
Emran’s secondment to RILON runs from June 2026 to November 2026. During this period, he is committed to sharing Bangladesh’s expertise, deepening regional cooperation, and contributing to policy discussions that strengthen frameworks across the region.
