Praethong Napanaruemit (Current)

Praethong is currently in her fourth year, majoring in International Relations and Global Affairs at Mahidol University International College, Thailand. Praethong joined the RSO as an intern under the Irregular Migration and Regional Priorities team in mid-September 2024. She supports the team in research, events, and other activities. Her fields of interest include transnational crimes, human rights, climate change, and international politics.

The book offers a broad overview of the nature of transnational crime, methods of transnational criminal networks operating in various forms such as human trafficking, drug smuggling, counterfeiting, and cybercrime, and how globalization has created new opportunities for criminal organizations. It also discusses the efforts of international
institutions to combat these crimes and the challenges in doing so.
