Prima is a qualified lawyer in Thailand who is pursuing the Master’s in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action at Sciences Po Paris in France. Prior to her master’s studies, Prima was a practising lawyer working on intellectual property, digital services, and data protection issues before shifting her career to work in international refugee law in Bangkok, Jakarta, and refugee camps along the Thailand-Myanmar border. She has a strong interest in forced displacement, labour migration, online scam centres, digital borders, and the intersection of technology and human rights.
Recommended film: Black Mirror “Common People” (Season 7, Episode 1) is a dark satire about a “free” subscription service that a husband decided to engage for his wife who has brain tumor. The subscription streams an experimental cloud-consciousness technology that allowed his wife to live her “normal” life until several dystopian twists started appearing: tier inflation, paywalls, targeted ads, limited geographical access — reflecting the nature of many modern service providers.
