The RSO Alumni Camp is a flagship event in the RSO calendar, bringing together a select cohort of RSO Alumni and supporting the development of practical and technical skills and facilitating the exchange of promising practices.

What You Can Expect:

  • Leadership development: equip yourself with essential skills including mentoring and effective communication to enhance your leadership presence and professional growth.
  • Alumni networking: build community and strengthen connections with fellow alumni through dedicated spaces for peer-to-peer learning and collaboration across the Bali Process membership.
  • Learning from experts: participate in the Fifth Border Forum, the RSO flagship capability development event, alongside regional experts and senior frontline officials, supporting networking, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving on-the-ground challenges through practical exercises and discussions.

What You Need to Know
Selection Criteria
Applications are assessed based on your demonstrated application of RSO training in the workplace, your motivation to attend, and your active engagement in the RSO Alumni Network.
Participation Support
For participants travelling from outside the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, the RSO will provide one round-trip economy-class airfare, accommodation at the event venue with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included for over the four-days of Alumni Camp and Border Forum, as well as airport transfers.
What You Will Gain
Build connections with alumni, experts and policymakers, gain practical insights from peers, and deepen your understanding of emerging regional trends and responses to irregular migration, people smuggling, trafficking in persons, and related transnational crime.

What is the RSO Border Forum?

The Border Forum is the RSO’s capability development event for the Bali Process membership, gathering frontline and liaison officials working across law enforcement, border and immigration management, policy, and judiciary systems, to strengthen international cooperation—supporting networking, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving on-the-ground challenges through practical exercises and discussions.
