RSO Flagship Events

The Constructive Dialogue is the RSO’s Flagship Meeting, bringing together senior government officials, diplomats and attachés from Bali Process Member and Observer States and Organisations for two days of dialogue and knowledge exchange across the Bali Process region.

The Border Forum is the RSO’s annual capability development event for the Bali Process membership, gathering frontline and liaison officials working in border and immigration management, law enforcement, maritime and civil aviation operations, and policy development to support networking, sharing of knowledge and promising practices, and problem-solving on-the-ground challenges at an operational level.

The RSO holds a Member State Spotlight week of activity in Jakarta, Indonesia each year, recognising Indonesia’s critical role as Co-Chair of the Bali Process. A Member State Spotlight week is also held in a second strategically selected Bali Process Member State capital city, often tied to the ASEAN Chairmanship.

The RSO Members’ Engagement Function brings together embassy representatives from across the Bali Process membership, government officials representing law enforcement, border and immigration and other relevant agencies from the host city, and wider regional partners together for an informal networking event—building networks and connections.

The Crisis Preparedness Forum is a multi-stakeholder dialogue and capability-building event, bringing together Bali Process Member States to examine emerging migration trends and assess priorities for reviewing and strengthening regional preparedness for irregular migration events.
