The Regional Support Office of the Bali Process and UNHCR Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific jointly organized a virtual consultation with 14 national experts from the Bali Process Member States: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand on 22 April 2021, from 10:00 -11:30 AM. (Bangkok time).

The consultation was the first in its series on developing a screening and referral toolkit, which was intended to design for practical use of frontline officials to manage reception and protection of vulnerable groups at the border.

During the consultation, the experts provided specific comments and advice on the questionnaires and checklists which will be used in the toolkit. When completed, the toolkit will be available in a visual format for the use of border officials.

The RSO and UNHCR are grateful to the experts for their continued commitment and advice to design practical use of the screening and referral toolkit.
